  1. This was SO HELPFUL! You covered everything I had questions about without a bunch of fluff. AND DALE?! You’ve got a subscriber in me!

    Thank you!

  2. I’m fortunate to have available nearby quality wormcastings at a great price. My soil amendment secret weapon.

  3. Thank you for sharing. We’ve built 2 more raised beds for this season, but soil is very heavy, is not draining well, even was mixed 50×50 with compost. So I added more compost, perlite, vermiculite and coco coir, then tilted. Now I have couple questions. Do you use such amendments to your raised beds? What fertilizes do you prefer? Can I use straw to cover beds? And if we use mulch vs tarp – we do not let any water from rain to keep soil moist when use tarp. I am in KY, zone 6b. Love your video and Dale🥰

  4. Yay Dale, we just celebrated Bacchus and Pomona’s 2nd birthday… I named them after Gods related to food and gardens, and they love playing in the fenced in garden where they can be let of the leash.

  5. I’m over in Topsail and it’s extremely helpful to have applicable information on soils as we share the same type. Having the right soil based on the area is critical to growth. Thanks!

  6. How do you build up the compost nutrients? I know mushroom compost is good to use but it is depleted from the mushrooms.

  7. Here in Florida we get chem trails sprayed on a regular basis also tonight the skies filled with chem trails again I wish and hope the military puts a complete stop to these pilots 🤬

  8. The video was helpful….yes I’m seeing it a year late but that’s ok, I got a lot of good tips for my garden this year. Thank you!

  9. Thanks for all your help. Love Dale. Need tips for uppotting figs and pruning one year transplants. Thanks

  10. Is it to early now to put seedlings in the greenhouse to finish growing. I don’t have grow lights

  11. I have an herb garden that is nearly established enough to reseed itself each year with the surface sowing seeds that need light to germinate. Any suggestions for applying the compost without smothering the future volunteer seedlings?

  12. Lmfao I watched half and he said add compost….forget it all people just go buy compost especially if your garden bed is that tiny

  13. I always tear my plants out around Thanksgiving (I don’t garden in winter). Then I lay down 1-2 bags of leaves and grass clippings per every 32 sq ft and add sulfur if changing pH. Incorporate the material into the top 3 inches with a shovel. Let it cook until around now, when I plant my first set of winter plants. What do you think of that? (Zone 7)

  14. Wouldn’t chopping the banana peels a bit help in the decaying process? It’s always good to see Dale.

  15. Dale is such a happy boy!! Where did you get your recipe for his birthday cake? Plus he looks is so healthy…do you feed him a special diet?

  16. I was looking for a gardener YouTuber with a similar environment and was lucky enough to to find a fellow North Carolinian

  19. This is literally the most helpful video I’ve seen so far as a brand new gardner. Am I correctly understanding that I can just use this process to prepare a brand new garden bed?

  20. I need to buy these so I have them on hand. Thank you for the reminder 👵🏻👩‍🌾❣️
