  1. So half of the strawberries will not be getting sun for a full day. The two sides will be rotating so they will be getting sun every other day. Is that enough sun?

  2. I have the original Tower project. But these newer ones look pretty nice too. And less expensive. Thanks.

  3. I love the way you produce these informative videos and this one does a great job with the strawberries. Thanks.

  4. these things SUCK tried them for 3 years and they do not yield anywhere near my garden strawberries

  5. This planter seems ideal for my needs but for one thing – I really don’t want more plastic in my life. It might seem an odd concern since I want to use them in my back yard which is surrounded by vinyl fencing, but I had no control over the fence material since my HOA requires it. I wonder if I could make something similar out of cedar or wicker? Maybe make a basket that has a similar shape that stacks? It would not last long, but I’d rather have to re-make it each season than buy more plastic stuff.

  6. So what would be the easiest to grow in a Dutch climate? And how do you keep the birds away, especially with fruit?

  7. Peppers and eggplants went nuts in my Greenstalks last year. I’ll hopefully be reproducing that this year. I’m also experimenting with tomatoes and butternut squash this year. I’m very lucky and haven’t needed the spinner. The sun goes directly over them and the side that gets a little less I just plant things that don’t mind it. Thanks for the great suggestions!

  8. If i could afford these verticle gardens, i would get rid of most of my pots! Guess I need to sell more beewax candles! lol

  9. I just got my Greenstalk garden yesterday and plan to plant after getting my soil tomorrow! Love the video and can’t wait to read the comments! Thanks to all.

  10. Very Cool! I have the 5 tier ( mine is a 3) and it has worked well for lettuce, herbs, cherry tomatoes and a few bee attractive flowers. Thanks for the additional tips! Especially the strawberry suggestion.

  11. What a great idea! I may do something like this for herbs like lemon balm and basil too.

  12. Finally discovered the Dollar Tree version just yesterday. Stoked! Those towers are expensive.

  13. I have the 7 tier Greenstalk and the first year growing it. I planted it last month and have a good crop of Swiss Chard growing at the bottom tier and all kinds of different varieties of lettuce and spinach in all of the other ones. $3.00 for one lettuce at the grocery store, it will save me a lot! I start new seeds every 2 wks so I’ll have plenty for ourselves and some to share. I would definitely get the spinner at the bottom so you can move it entirely in the shade later on in the year when it gets very hot or for spinning for even growing.

  14. Will strawberries produce more than 1 season in a Greenstalk? Love your videos and your presentation. Thank you.

  15. I built a strawberry tower with dollar tree stackable planters and they unfortunately dry out too quickly in our climate. I could probably make a soil mix with higher water retention, but those GreenStalks seem like they’ll take care of that issue. Any idea how GreenStalks compare to the Garden Tower 2?

  16. I have always worried about growing larger plants in a vertical system. Now I know it will work,

  17. Do the plantation of Chinese cabbage, khimchi cabbage in this container. This cabbage is having sweet flavor in stir fry.
It’s a wild plant grow well even in winter of Canada.
Cover the container with plastic during winter.

  18. thanks Kevin – I am going to buy another greenstalk for the mothers day sale (I have your EG leaf teal version) – and was going back and forth whether or not to get the smaller pocket (leaf) or larger pocket (original) I think I am going with the larger pocket for peppers and salad greens. thanks!

  19. I have always worried about growing larger plants in a vertical system. Now I know it will work,

  20. I bought my very 1st Greenstalk after watching your video on growing beans. Now I have 6 and I use mine to grow lettuce, beans, strawberries, and misc items to see how they do compared to in my raised beds. I’ve tried Carrots, Peppers, Cherry Tomatoes, Jalapeno, Serrano peppers, Ancho chili peppers and Swiss Chard.

  21. I have two Green Stalk towers. I have been growing strawberries and herbs in both for the past 2 years. They are a great investment.

  22. I have a 7 tier leaf tower and really want to plant bush beans…. but i noticed that Greenstalk does not recommend growing bush beans in the leaf towers. Has anybody grown bush beans in a leaf, and if so… how many beans per space?

  23. I have 2 greenstalks and I live in Florida. I get full sun all day. I am growing lettuce, beans, nastriums, kale, collard, swiss chard, peppers, cherry tomatoes, dandelion, herbs, arugula and testing zucchini and bok choy. Last year I actually grew brussel sprouts in mine! We love our greenstalks no bending and no weeding!

  24. Are there any setups like this for flowers? Petunia or marigolds and such??? Please help have very tiny patio

  25. What is the likelihood of the planter tipping over, especially once plants are full size?

  26. Great for every school, community, rooftop, sidewall, balcony, urban regions – lifestyle including healthy foods vertical greenhouses indoor outdoor supports Wellbeing, uplifting mindset, values, genuine Goodness, intelligence, creativity, modesty and success, kindness, benevolence, self-mastery and nonviolence, decency, understanding and amazingly positive impact
