How much did all that cost out of curiosity?
completely wrong way to do it, put membrane down, then subbase on top, tamper down, then another membrane then put the gravel on top and stepping stones in between, your subabase will overtime mix and sink into the soil now, your sand will get wet and lose structure and weeds will grow through the memrane
Now the trend is to spray those rocks with some type of glue to the point that they don’t move .

But once did I see you level that ground. You put a leveler on the stone and called it a day ๐ this is definitely going to shift and move.

Make a path zigzag for inefficiency. Germany doesnโt approve.

Would have been better with just pavers in dirt and then fix your grass. All those loose rocks are going to get everywhere and in the lawn mower. Put the pavers in the set in the ground and you can reseed and just mow right over them.
Question: I have laid my pavers. the stones are covered in excessive amounts of dust. should i shake this off or wash the stones before putting them down?
Too much work. Just drop stepping stones on tbe grass
Is it fine to put pavers without concrete below?

What is black paint you did on stones?
I donโt understand why put the sand on the bottom of the barrier at all. Weeds grow on top of the rocks and pavers. I get that thereโs protection from both sides, but the sand on the bottom of the barrier seems like a waste of product/money. Is there a reason? Iโm just trying to understand.

Of course this wonโt last. I built the same or similar for my parents. Iโm just going to lay concrete on the walkway. Stones tend to eventually move and weeds grow
What did you spray on the slabs? Repellent? Paint?
